Digital Identity

digital identity is information on an entity used by computer systems to represent an external agent. That agent may be a person, organization, application, or device. ISO/IEC 24760-1 defines identity as “set of attributes related to an entity”.

In Canada key identity organizations include DIACC, the Digital ID & Authentication Council of Canada.

Cutting edge developments in the field include ‘Self Sovereign Identity‘, with world-class exemplars being pioneered in Canada through the ACE project in Alberta and British Columbia’s OrgBook.
